Folake Sadiq oversees the Legal Department and Corporate Secretariat of Lagos Bus Services Limited (LBSL). She is a dedicated, dynamic, resourceful, commercial lawyer and an effective dispute resolution practitioner.
She obtained an LL.B from the University of Lagos and an LL.M in International Commercial Law from the Robert Gordon University Aberdeen, Scotland, where she graduated with a distinction and also received the Thompson Reuters Prize for All Round Best Performance in International Commercial Law (LL.M). She worked in different top-tier Nigerian law firms before joining LBSL and has extensive experience in Corporate and Commercial Law, Litigation, Property Law, Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
She is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitration. (CIArbUK). Shewas the Chair of the Young Members Group, CIArb Nigeria Branch from 2017 to 2020 and is now a member of the Global Steering Committee.
